Contenedor de feminismos en León

Contenedor de Feminismos is a project by Anxela Caramés, Carme Nogueira and Uqui Permui.

The idea is to create a movil archive for  the public space to document, make visible and recover women stories, feminism and the sexual liberation struggles during the last thirty years. The device has been thought to collect material and show it in the public space in a no hierarchical way, trying to create networks.

On Tuesday the 15th january 2013 the Women Associations León Simone de Beauvoir, ADAVAS, Isadora Duncan, Flora Tristán, Clara Campoamor, Mujer y revolución and Líneas de fuga activated jointly the Contenedor de Feminismos to claim for the importance of the centers for reproductive and sexual health for women. They invited everybody to participate in the docuacction.

This was the program:

- 11.00 h., Centro de Planificación Familiar Mariano Andrés (C/Frontón nº7) Colloquium with the profesionals and users.

- 12.00 h. , Juan de Austria Square, Chat speaking about the opening of the first Family Planning Center in León, to make visible the work of all the profesional and persons who made posbile this fact.

This docu-action is part of the work that the Women Associations in León: Simone de Beauvoir, ADAVAS, Isadora Duncan, Flora Tristán, Clara Campoamor, Mujer y revolución and Líneas de fuga; together with DEAC and the MUSAC Library are developing for the creation of a local genealogy of the feminist movements in León.

In february 2013 they made another docu-action in F.P. La Torre Secondary School, León.
