Tiergarten is indeed the geographic center of the city. It hasn´t lost its centrality but remains as an out of perspective place as it is impossible from here to have an overlook over the city as well as over the transformations of it. After the reunification some new public ways (tunnels) pass through Tiergarten to link the different parts of the city.
This place is used by people from Berlin but also tourists.
It is also an important place in terms of landscape. My interest has to do with this constructed landscape, the idea of “nature” in relation to the point of view, this is why it was an important place to use the stair-platform.
The site specific installation is documented by the pictures. It was used by pedestrians.
